    Default Old Japanise outbord

My father collects antique outboard machines, and restoring is a hobby.
    It completed it today.
    This is YAMAHA P6.
It is an outboard machine that Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. put on the market first.
Some parts look like Mercury outboard machine at that time.
At that time, some recalls are done, and it has been collected from the market.
It is an engine excluded from an official history of Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd..
It is a very unusual outboard machine.

This is one of the collections of him.
It is an outboard machine that Honda put on the market 40 years or more ago.
    This is 4st flat engine.
This engine was disposed by a lot of recalls, and did not remain in an official history either.

Is you interested in an old outboard machine of Japan?
If it is interested,I have attatched more pictures.

Thank you for sharing with us. you are right, this is a very unusual enbgine indeed, as is the Honda. As with much of the Japanese engines, there are many similarities to American engines, that Yamaha looks like an old KG-4 Mercury in design.

Check the Antique outboard thread. There are several including my MK55H & my MK75H clone with modified SST45 tower & adaptor that I got from yoy.

Masaru, I like these pictures. Please post more. I find this very interesting.
Since 1925, about 150 different racing outboards have been made.

Masaru, I am in agreement with Sam. Please post more pictures. I like the pictures with your family....and any more tales you have about these motors or other stories about motor boats would be most welcome.

    Default Rotary outboard

There is a company called MAZDA of the car manufacturer.
It is the company which is famous for a rotary engine.
MAZDA was a company name called the "Toyo Kogyo" before.

This is a rotary engine outboard motor released at that time.
This is a single rotar engine.
This was released with oem product of Mazda by YAMMAR.

And this is a twin rotar engine.

Thank you for an impression, everybody.
    I exhibit a picture patiently.

There is still the collection of father a lot.

Wonderful, Wada-san; we in the States have little or no access to information on the history of Japanese mechanical technology. Many years ago, and American writer, C.D. Bohan, did a good series of articles in Cycle magazine about the history of the various Japanese motorcycle manufacturers, and of motorcycle racing in Japan in the 1950s and 60s. But I've never encountered any such thing on Japanese outboards.

If you or anyone you know can enlighten us on the history of outboard racing in Japan, we would be fascinated. I would particularly like to hear about the history of Fuji and Yamato. We know a bit about the professional gambling races (I saw one in 1970), but nothing about the amateur racing that is more like what we do.

Thanks for what you've already shown us!!

    Default Yamaha P65&P95

    Yamaha P65&P95
These are very old, and it is a precious outboard motor.

Yamaha does not have an antique outboard motor.
They come to watch these outboard motors for the production of history of a company and the document.
