Its worth restoring. Use Google and the search function here, Hyrdoracer and Screamandfly ... the info is already out there if you are serious about this
Since 1925, about 150 different racing outboards have been made.
[ i was going on a parts run yesterday when out of the corner of my eye i see this old lookin hull behind a burned out building next door to the boat shop i used to work at.I ask the owner my old boss what was deal with boat. he goes on to tell me during a outboardmotor swap a bunch of collectors went over and tryed to get the guy to sell it he wasnt haveing it and kicked them out of his yard. Well after i got my parts i went over to see what the big deal was.Out of know where this pitbull come charging the fence I yell to see if anybody is around and this little old man comes out and is happy to see me he rembered me and was happy to sell me the boat and helped me load it in my truck.I dont know much about old wood runabouts so i called a buddy of mine Jason Hay.I start to tell him that i scored this boat he`s like tell me about it i go on to tell him its blue and has a 441M on the side he freaks and say its my old boat i`m coming over he shows up and tells me that this was his dads boat and has been gone for over30years. We cant belive all this so he was just a kid when he last saw this boat and had a few ideas what it was untill i striped the deck today and got a glimps of this

Hi Whitey- Having run Sid Crafts of the 60s, they didn't look like your find. When I met Sid at his back yard shop, he and son were building hydros only.
Don't know who built yours.
Ye Olde Desert Geezer Al
P.S. Used to live on Grosse Ile and then Monroe before moving to AZ.![]()
I don't think that looks like a Sid Craft runabout either. As I remember a Sid was much wider in front and I never knew of one that didn't have a front cockpit.
