    Default Finson throttle for sale

I found this buried in a bunch of stuff out in one of my storage rooms...It is in very good condition...does it have any value besides being old.?...Looks like the cable can come in the unit from the back or front....it is pretty clean and kinda semi-polished...I don't even remember getting it..must have been for a Swift hydro project that I had in the 1960's.....Maybe I should polish it and take it up to Mount Dora with a couple of my old Mercs.....561 793 3520

If they are in useable condition, they usually go for $100 or so on eBay. If you can connect with someone who specifically wants a Finson, I have seen buyers pay twice as much.
Since 1925, about 150 different racing outboards have been made.

Thanks for the info...this one is in really nice shape & a buck fifty would be a fair price for it then....Do you have a date period for these little throttles?

We put a new Finson throttle on a boat my dad built for me when I was a kid - in 1953.

Tim placed the Finson as accurately as I can ... early 1950's

Not sure being polished raises the value any compared to doing the leg work to connect to an interested buyer.
