Yes I wanted one of those dynos (Land & Sea for example) but I have no idea what's inside so I could not make one. What type of transducer is used?

So I was hoping to make a simple test wheel like a prop hub welded to a flat metal disk with bolts through the disk that can be added or removed, and use this for relative measurements while I tweak the pipe at home. I have only seen this in the forums so I don't know what to expect. If it breaks lose with the water (cavitate) then it's not a good load?
