Is there a physical difference between a Yamaha Pro50 tilt & trim unit compared to a 1987 Yamaha 70hp 20" tilt & trim unit?
Reason: I own an '87 Yamaha 70 and would like to put tilt & trim on my 1975 Johnson Stinger 20" engine.
Thanks.

the 70hp bracket is bigger than the pro50, but that maybe ok for what you are tryin to do. not seein any advantage to that over a 3cyl omc 20" T&T bracket other than 3 wire over two wire.

"Bigger" as in a longer swivel pin tube, or is the entire unit bigger than a Pro50 pump. (I wish I had a Pro50 here so I could just compare them)
My 70hp T&T is $free, so that's my first choice. I can source an OMC T&T locally if I have to... There is a HUGE marine salvage yard about 20miles away from me.
Thanks for the info Fred.
DANG! Now I really need a Yamaha Pro50 swivel & T&T system... Picked up this Hustler shorty w/Nitro this morning.
