    Thumbs up

I've been lurking here for a couple months, Met Will and picked up a transom from one of his old hydro's for my tub, John's been good in email about keeping me up to date with Seattle Outboards, so I figure I'd post on this topic.......

I met up with 703 last weekend - took the trip up north!

Every one of the racers treated me great, had a good time and got a chance to run my boat.....looks to be that I'll be the only American racing the circuit this year (and they don't seem to hold that against me! ;D). Although a second American may make the great race in Nanaimo and will definitely make the two Washington State races.....

Anyway 703 took these pics of my tub, helped out in making sure I was set up and generally helped out over the net a lot when I had questions about building....

    2 months till race day!

Wait- wouldn't be complete without a pic of 703.

What a ride! What a ride!

    Default Tubs and bottoms

Looks good. And fun. I know of some racers that put graphite in the epoxy on the bottoms of their boat. They say it works. Bob Wartinger the record holding king says he uses a 400 grit sand paper finish. I have tried teflon bottom paint with no change on the speedo.

    Gotcha!

I've heard of the stuff but until I 440 wet sand and buff my hull out I just used carnuba wax..
