    Default 1941 Racing Motor Specifications

    and Inspector's Report...

When I saw this peper, in my dad's stuff, I almost tossed it...Then, I read, and read and read...Hell, I realized Edgar Rose, Dee Berghauser and Jeff Titus didn't invent "TECHINCAL".....

I just thought these six pages were "COOL"...

Default Engine number stamping / tagging questions

Looking at various Alky racing power heads there are sets of serial numbers and letters some of them on the block side and sometime on the crankcase side on them saying something about recognition or approval of that engine. In some cases there is also a hole drilled for wiring a lead seal system too. When did all that start? I have some Alky engines with "NOA" and a number set. I have other Alkys where there are a long set of numbers followed by lettes specifically "AR" and "BR" and on a couple of Anzani crankcases there is both an "AR" set of numbers and a "BR" set of numbers. Can these be used in any way to trace previous ownership as well?
