I can see the resemblance to both Gary Garbrecht and Billy Seebold, but it is neither. Maybe this view with a little more profile will help.

It is clearly not Gary as his shirt tails are out & dirty & certainly a driver. I know that Billy was big in to tunnels at that time so not even sure that he was racing Pro then. If so, it had to be for Marshall, though not even sure if Marshall had any "C" service stuff. The mystery continues.Originally Posted by Master Oil Racing Team
At first I thought it was Elvis! HMMMMMM.......(as Ron Hill would say), Marshall did have C service stuff.... and they BOTH hung around Memphis.
You got it Mark! John Schubert couldn't recall whether Marshall Grant had any C-Service, but I remembered the time Joe Rome asked Billy Seebold what was the hardest boat he ever drove. He replied it was Marshall's C Service. Don't remember if it was hydro, runabout or both.
Here's a few from Alexandria, 1973
Pic #2........his side zip on the Gentex is zipping from top to bottom.
Whazzup with that?
Dandy pix, as always, but don't you have names? I haven't seen those guys since about that time, but I see Lee Sutter, and I think Don Anderson, and would the first one be Alan Ishii? Oh lordy, do they look YOUNG!!!!
Alan Ishi is the top picture, Lee Sutter is next...others look like I know them, but can't put a handle on them.
George Ishi, Alan's father was a chicken Sexer...a guarded Japanese secret. he could tell the sex on a 5 minute old chicken, but had to give that job up because of his eyes..
Later, George was a machinist, and a great supporter of boat racing!!!

Understand what Sutter was doing in Alexandria at that time ... but can't remember what Don Anderson would have been racing ... perhaps ARR or BRR. Brother Ron would have been driving AOH and BOH?Originally Posted by smittythewelder
Pic #4 is Dub Parker. And Lee Sutter still doesn't have any grey hair.
