    Default Too much fuel

From the sounds of it you've got too much fuel pressure. At some point preessure will overcome the inlet needles and flood the engine as you have noted. That high delivery pump is way over-kill as the Mod-50 engine will burn about 12GPH at full power. Suggest a smaller pump to save energy and regulate pressure to 3-1/2 PSI. I use the Mr. Gasket in-line 32 GPM and regulator it only draws 2Amps..........

    Default Pump & reg

Yep Fred, that is the correct pump and regulator. Set pressure no lower than 3-1/2 and no more than 5 and you should be fine. Be sure to glance at your pressure guage at top to be certain you're still getting 3-1/2. If not, use a smaller restrictor on the return line. Good luck!

    nice lookin finger ports,
hey Tim i set that system up with a hand made .060 restrictor jet, with that style regulator i only got a 1/2 #psi with the reg on max 5.5 psi, so i put in a 43D jet and with the reg maxed i got 3psi.. with the pump off, clampin on the return line i get a stiff ball, so i know the needles and seats are AOK, so should i keep goin down in restrictor jet size till the reg is within a 1/2psi of it's readin? ( so like when it's set on 4psi she's readin 3 1/2psi) thinkin a 38d jet would do it, but thats way smaller than said so i'm checkin in.
    thanks
    FF
