Default 1948 Cracker Box 1st boat to own

New to the site thought I'd share my Cracker box.

48 Cracker box I purchased from a friend who purchased from the original owner who built and raced it from 48 to 51- 52. Cool to think he still had the original blue print from Glenn Wood he built the boat off of.

My buddy redid the top deck, then got board with it. The inside seems to be pretty damm nice due to it's age, no rot or damage. 48 & earlier Ford flathead, Parogon in & out box, Parogon shifter, Livine steering box. The Weiand intake and 94 carbs are the original. Mechanical curved face 8 grand Stewart Warner Tach & water temp that still works which was a plus.

I just cleaned it up got it running detailed it and off I went. Been having fun ever since.

Yeah she sounds crazy! thanks about the boat i def lucked out, i had been looking for a old wooden boat for years then this thing popped in my hands. I just now need to figure out the best prop for top end i travel the sloughs so im looking for top end and speed. The boat came wit ha bunch of different #'ed prop, all 3 blade. from traveling side by side wit other boats I've been told she's maxing out around 35 - 40 somewhere i there, just feels like it could get alittle more out of it.
Thanks for the site, alot of cool stuff on there.
