It's very possible. I had a 1548 weldbuilt that would run 53 with a bone stock 40 and a 20 pitch chopper

I thought so. I thought about put some 60hp carbs on mine but I don't know if it will help any.

Yea I thought about that. I got a guy to cut my tuner and drill some holes in the bottom of the foot but that just made it sound fast.

That's right. I went to the river Sunday and a buddy was out there. I called him and told him I was about to launch. He said he'd listen for me cuz he was fishing in a cut. He came out of the cut and met me after I passed and said he thought there was an airboat on the river. Loud and slow
