hi guys i was wondering if anyone has tried porting the reed blocks on 59ci merc?
i was thinking of giving it a go.
my idea was to remove the brige between the ports and just have one big reed valve instead of the 3 petals on either side.
do you reckon this would work?
anyone have any other ideas?
thanks for any info.

I tried it. Did not make any difference. In fact the reeds would not hold up as long because of no support in the middle

We make single stage reeds for most outboards, they differ from the others in material as Rees as how they are cut, and they aren't dual stage, chris

chris ,i already got a set of your reeds .i'm the guy from aus..,i'm still waiting on gaskets .your reeds got here quicker from the states ,than it takes the local merc dealer to get me some gaskets in...
