Another guy named Sam is helping me out with some throttle/control pieces that I need for my Carlson project ... here is some of the wild stuff in his collection

You've seen that pipe poking out the back of some OMC's at the races decades ago ... finally a close up.

Lots more, including some "what the heck is that" stuff :)

If it is, I remember seeing the boat beside John's house covered with a tarp for years.
Seem I remember John telling me it was an experimental boat from OMC in Peterborough. That leads me to think it might have been made by Lorne Pinel.

Great picture of the OMC with single stack. That was the forerunner to the KC and later KR exhaust systems. The sound was unreal, made the V4 sound like it was running 10,000 RPM. We were never able to quite match the power of that steel system with the aluminum castings exiting into the midsection.

Trim unit has me stumped.....is it embossed with the omc trademark??

The tunnel is unique as well any info on who made it? Is it a laydown?

Looks like a West Bend tiger shark to the left of the green V4....right?

The 100 hp was a '64 which was a white engine with a real "club" foot (electromatic shift).The lower parts are from a GT 115 except the GT had a shiftable gearcase. So it looks like a Stinger lower unit that somebody put some GT parts in the middle and a '65Meteor shroud. The '64 90 first issue, had the in line 4 barrel carb that on non banking boats would run out of fuel in a tight left turn as the fuel sloshed to the right half of the carb starving the jet on the left side.
It was not too long before the dealers got redesigned float chambers.

After some thought, the '64 was a 90 hp not a 100 hp The colors were white, '64, '65, '66.

The first 100 horse OMC was in 1966, that particular cowl is a 1967. Other than the steering bar and gearcase, there's no race stuff there. There's no shift lever and the mount system is the standard, non-racing type. Also the rear clam shell is the early, weak one.
Still a cool motor to look at.

That trim is a mechanical unit that coupled to a 2 piece ring that clamped around the bottom of a KC V4 swivel bracket.

I bet it is from the late John Porter collection, I just spotted another clue. As well as this other Sam having my old VB Konig which belonged to John, I also spotted an "Odessa Outboard Sales and Serivce" sticker on the front lower cowl of the Johnson motor--That was John's business. I bet that is the tunnel that John always told me was an OMC boat.
Ask your friend Sam if he bought the 3 cylinder C Konig as well.

The motor cover is from a 1966 Johnson 100hp. The 100hp was also manufactured in 1967 & 1968. The lower part of the cover had a light green ('67) & Dark Green ('68)

Hey there, I love the omc stacker motor! You said belongs to a friend of yours? I'd be very interested to here some info about the exhaust mods on the old omc 4 bangers. Also wandering if that power head would be for sale? Never hurts to ask. Thanks

If it is an OMC Canada boat that is possibly the lay down drive tunnel hull that Spencer Dunn blew over at Welland Canal.
