please help me id this boat!!!!!!!!!!

I got this boat today from a guy in mt vernon, wa it came out of an old barn in a farm field.
its about 11 feet long and looks to be original.
anyone have any ideas as to make?
the hardware appears to be original also.
please help me id this boat.
instead of air traps it has a large fin right in the center about two feet forward of the transom.

Looks a lot like the Challenger hydro plans from the 50's. George Stillwill Sr. started racing "A" with a KG4H on onw in region 3 & did very well with it. Go to http://www.pfs-ware.com/50s/50s_page11.htm. The deck is different, but the rest looks familiar. Could also be a Karelson as he built some hydros with the extended front cowling that looked just like that.

Looks like a 1950's Champion kit boat because of the cowling, deck features. They made a A/B and a C/D version. As you said the boat was about 11' long, it would be the C/D. made to run with a 30 ci Merc in C and a 40 ci Merc in D.
