If there was ever a simple program to give race gowers an easy lesson of what was featured and what was going on, this was this one single pager on two sides. During these years Calgary was a town of some 400,000 people nestled against the foot hills of the Rockies from where the water to race on ran real cold! Lips turned purple cold! Hypothermia in less than 5 minutes cold! When drivers dumped in these races, it was stop the race with immediate pickup even while stopping the race at the same time.

For you racers from the Montana, Oregon and Washington state areas that used to come north here to race, I bet there are some cool stories about the Crescent Super Cs that used to prowl the neighbourhood. You Alberta racers have some crazy stories and good pictures to post. Welcome aboard and enjoy, this thread is for all of you. :)

This is the cast aluminum and colored racing club plaque for the Alberta all encompassing provincial club which had a Calgary branch, an Edmonton Branch and so on. Enjoy this piece of nostalgia. :)
