I just looked up the Region 12 schedule. Is the Havasu Landing race still scheduled for Feb. 12 and 13?Are the COR boats invited? If the COR boats are invited and the date has been settled on, who of the COR boats is planning on going? I have heard that at least one of the boats from the otherside of the Colorado is planning on racing at Havasu Landing. Rod

Race date is Feb 12-13
Trying to clarify if you (COR) are an OPC class, or a special event class? Either way, I will make sure you are on the sanction. Right now all Inboards, PWR, SO, CompJet, JH, AXSH, and SST45's are listed on the pending sanction.

JC[/QUOTE The COR boats will be running as a Special Event. The Special Event gives us the flexibility we need for our limited membership which we are trying to grow and have been fairly successful at. I would think you could plan on at least 5 COR boats at the Havasu Landing race. I am attempting to get a count at this time. We would like to run the COR 100's with the COR 2.0's as a step-up class. (COR -100's are inline six Mercs and V-4 Johnrudes). At this time we have only 2 COR 100's but have had several calls from persons interested in joining their ranks. The COR-100, #45 boat is running at 65 mph. If possible, we would like to run 2 ten lap races with a clock or flying flag start. As you know, we are pretty flexible and are willing to do about anything the race committee asks of us. We donot care for the shore starts as they are quite time consuming. I want to thank you and the entire race committee for their understanding of what the COR is all about, "Furthering the interest in boat racing at a safe and affordable price!" R:)D
