The C100 was Carlson's predecessor to the Challenger and later Contender sport boats.

According to Carlson's early magazine ads this 12' 10" semi tunnel hull type boat was the first outboard to go 70 mph in a 1/4 mile drag race.

This one is for sale in northern California. I hope to get more pictures from the seller. If anyone else has pics of a C100, please post them. If you are interested in buying the boat I'll post the link to the seller. The asking price is reasonable. If it was east of the Mississippi, I would have probably already bought it, but I have no way to transport it east.

Please do not post pictures of Carlson Challengers or Contenders on this thread until we have more C100 pics to compare. If you post pictures of Challengers or Contenders before we get more C100 pictures, I will delete those pictures.

For the years 60-61 that would be possible..
Any other information on this accomplishment?
