it could with the proper powerhead adaptor plate (assuming you wanna run the exhaust through the tower), but would be an overkill for that small of a motor!!!!! The OMC A/Sidewinder gearcase would be a better alternative and could be adapted to your stock exhaust housing.........if you want a direct drive racing type gearcase........or, if you do not mind NOT having a water pump, a Yamato 302 gearcase is a VERY affordable unit and adaptable to various exhaust housings also....

It would be overkill but could work. No where near to rpm, speed & stress its designed for but that means it will last. If you adapted a smaller gear case more in line with that motor size might be lighter & faster. The Bass tower with thru mid exhaust & pump is the best bet. You could run into the tower walls being in the way of the power head mount bolts in which case you would need an adapt plate. Or if lucky you might bolt it straight down on the tower.

Try keying in fralick outboard motors. They had merc 15hp racing gear cases might interest you. Cheers Joe

From the photo of your boat it appears that you are running a stock height tower. The Bass unit and other racing towers typically are much shorter so you'll need to cut down your transom to around 10 to 12 inches. Do you want to cut down your transom????

A better way to go might be to adapt a smaller gearcase such as Ron Selewach's A gearcase to your stock tower with an adapter plate and driveshaft coupler. It does have an internal waterpump.

So far as rotation goes, finding an appropriate propeller pitched for right hand rotation I think would be the proverbial needle in the haystack kind of deal.

Another consideration is whether the water pump will work properly. I know that some will but one can't be sure.

Are you trying to say you sell parts?

For what Thunderstruck is looking for a custom tower machined to fit the gear case of choice & his power head would be optimal, if they are being sold.
