1,2. 1974 14' Allison that I picked up on a trade in 1981. Straightedged the bottom, ran and won with it 2x in 1982, sold it cheap. With a prop I made for myself at Baumann Propeller, and a special set-up, the boat accelerated faster than the competition, sat on its tail and ran 65 mph set up for closed course. The 14' was better in rough water than the faster 13' because of the difference in air lift built into the bow beneath the deck.

3. Same boat 12/2010. Owner failed to store it indoors, all wood rotten.

4,5,6. Boat restoration by our son Hans (19), an E-Tec mechanic, and Darrell Beaulier. Work done at Darrell's body shop.

7. 1979 Stinger sold as 75 but with a 70 powerhead. Had been bored +,030 over, then scored. Was sold in 1993 on the Allison to a teenager who never ran it.

8,9. Same motor but with a 1975 75 powerhead (from parts in my garage). Motor by Joe.

Look'n good...it's great to see an old hull brought back to life

To do it right, to preserve the shape of the bottom (we did it too cheaply) you should first build a frame. Without Darrell, a body/boat man, would have taken forever. He has all the right tools, guided Hans.
