Watching this Youtube video two things come to mind:
1. What great fun it was racing for 8 hours with over 100 boats on the course
2. How smart NASCAR was to limit speeds and improve safety
Scotti won this race with a twin going probably less than 100 MPH, and he died five short years later driving a single engine at speeds of probably 125 MPH.....or more!
