Hello'
Are there anymore differance's between these (2) driveshaft's,
beside's the water pump key's ?????

Pt.# - 389508 plastic wedge key, think it's a stinger shaft

pt.# - 391377 woodruff key sst-60 shaft

i've found ether fit the same, the one with the flat spot(gets the plastic key)is newer,:cool:

nitro - or 2 cyl

yes, the two cyl cases always seem to go together tight with 3 cly guts, if you build one you'll know. :cool:

All SST60 gearcases came with the flat drive key. The woodruff style was used on 2 and 3 cylinder shafts in the 70's. All later shafts are flat key design. 2 and 3 cylinder gearcase housings are the same in all respects.

How about interior part's swap's, of these small diamenter case's ?

If you are referring to changing 2 and 3 cylinder gears..the only difference is the way the forward gear bearing is supported. You have to change the forward bearing carrier with the gears. 2 cylinder has a needle bearing and 3 cylinder has a tapered roller.

Seem's both driveshaft's are legal in sst-60 .
