Just brought home a Evinrude 70hp triple, the model code on the engine block is BE70ELEND wich I guess makes it a -92

I have a workshop manual for a -91 engine, is this OK to use?

for the most part you'll be ok.

It will probably get you through with the basics... There might be some specifics missing though.

Thanks guys!

The deal was that I would go through the basics and leave a reasonable offer.
I bought the engine last night, it lacks the coils and the electrical harness, but other than that it seems to work. The prop is butchered and the skeg is somewhat bent but the rest looks as it should for an engine this old.
Think we both did a good deal, I got the engine quite cheap and the seller got rid of it from his yard and thereby made his wife happy :D (Happy wife, happy life...)

Did never bother to lift the head, would this be an bridged exhaust engine (just like my -91) or is it a oval exhaust?

I plan to use it as a spare engine for my TigerCat 15 since Volvo penta outboards seems a bit fragile. On that boat the engine will spend a substantial amount of time on WOT so I would really like to hear your recomendations regarding a reliable WOT RPM.
It's and old engine so I'm aware that anything might happen with it but it never hurts to ask...

Unlikely to be any difference in specs.
