Hey guys I am wondering if you guys know about any performance spark plugs that may give me a little better performance for a 40/50/60 mercury?

What kind of use do these engines see? What rpm range? etc? What brand/number plugs are you presently using?

Very rare usage, only 1 month a year but it is strictly racing! I rev between 6500 and 6800. The number on the plugs are brand NGK BP8H-N10. I couldn't tell if the 1 was an 1 or a I.

I looked up that a few different models of your engine used a similar plug BPZ8H-N-10.
You may want to play around with different temperature plugs. Correct me if I am wrong but if you run a higher compression ratio than factory you need to go colder with the temperature of the plugs to prevent detonation.
Here is a sheet with the letter codes for the plugs.

That plug is as cold as it gets in that 1/2" reach projecting tip series. I use it in my Merc 25ss in the 7000 rom range with CD ignition, works for me . It is a good performance plug for your engine.
