Thanks Todd. I have a question for you or anyone who may the answer. It seems the west coast dominated the novice 350 class , why was that ?

I will take a shot and try to answer your question and will probably be in the bleachers somewhere with my answer. The West Coast had plenty of motors available with the yamato 80 at that time here. They were easy to get people into the class because it was affordable, you could run a few hydro classes with a prop change as I remember with the same motor. But the most was they had a lot of seat time with one rig. There also eliminations in that class for along time here and we raced 12 races and went into the winter Nationals so not a lot of time not racing. If I remember you could run Novice, 20ssh, and RB hydro I believe as we did a few times.
So I think they had a lot of seat time and had the motors, boats and set ups dialed in. I do not want to take anything away from anyone from any other State as I do not know what they all ran I am only speaking of our region here in Ca. In fact I even owned one of those rigs but never ran. Another story there lol!!!!
