I was always under the impression that the hydrotec head was basically a CES head but I could be wrong

That's what I was wondering, although the site says their head adds 7-10hp, which would make a standard 70 more powerful than a CES? I've sent them an email asking if it will fit the CES, no reply yet

Anyone know about this?
Does either the Hydrotec or Topgun head go well on the 70ces?

the heads fit, the 70ces head runs a neg squish band, they ( the factory) run it fat out of the box. they all fit each other. a 70 ces is just a 70 with jacked exhaust and a cow bell tuna, you can make a copy of a 70ces from a 60hp. Hydrotec is stand up, if they say it works for 7-10hp, it will.

stock 70ces makes 70 hp right about 64-6500 rpm. the crank is the weak link

Cool thanks Fred,
I plan on welding the crank over the winter. I saw photos of a head that had been machined so it has positive squish, not been tested yet but I'm keen to hear how it goes.
