1929 Outboard Championships

While thumbing through some new magazines I received I came across this, what I would call, tongue in cheek article on the first Outboard Championships at Peoria IL in the November 1929 edition of Pacific Motorboat.

I decided to change the heading of this thread. I recently received a collection of MotorBoating, Power Boating, and Motorboat magazines from the '20s through the '40s and as I read through them I occasionally come across some interesting racing articles, such as the first one I posted. In some ways, the ones I have read are not such different in context to the issues that face racing today , when you raed into them. Such as this from Power Boating magazine , November 1931.
