Here is the May 1960 edition of Propeller. While being born and raised in DePue I never knew, until thumbing through this edition, that Lake DePue had hosted an Inboard race. Does anybody have any memories from that race??

Here it is the December 1960 edition of the Propeller. Inside this edition is a picture from the Outboard Nationals, which were held at Bakersfield CA , of the champions in each class. It is certainly not an easy task to win a National title , especially in these days when you had to win a qualifying heat or a divisional , but look at the names of the 1960 champions. my gosh it must have been tough Hal Tolford , Chuck Parsons , Homer Kincaid, Hubert Entrop, Bob Herring , Freddie Goehl , Gerry Waldman , Jim Schoch and Bob Davidson.
