One easy source for model years is "Ken Cooks" lititure warehouse. They supply all the outdated OMC manuals. I have attachted the address for the johnson motors manuals by model year hear. You will have to bruse the site for Evinrude models. Good luck.

You are the proud owner of a 1964 40hp Evinrude short shaft.

Use Model # 40453S when ordering parts and IDing motor.
