For those who don't know Bale was the fastest guy on the water from 1967 untill he died in 1973. In a 200mph drag boat? No! In a rubber raft in the Walnut Creek cannal. My (pregnant) mother was a close friend and at the funeral Ma Bale suggested that it would be nice if the baby were named after Bale. So one week later, out I came, Bradley Dwight. Actually Dago thought I should have been called Luigi but thats another story. For more info and pics of the Bales, the surviving brother Laurence put together a great memorial page:
