Hi, first post here on another great looking board!

I am currently assembling a river hot rod/mild drag V4 Johnny on a restored Viper. This is the first outboard I have put together. I currently have a set of 135 heads which I understand are no good for pump gas. I believe I have secured a set of 115 heads as well but I don't know their condition yet. This should be fine for break in.

My question is, which heads are best for cutting to obtain a good, high premium gas compression for everyday use?

Thanks in advance,
Jeff Couch

It's not really a ride yet, all the riding I have done so far has been in the garage making motor noises. Thanks for the compliment though.
Water here is still in the solid state, but spring is comin'!

Very important... Before you even start to rig that thing get you some solid motor mounts. As light as it will be keeping it balanced on the pad will be almost impossible with the old rubber ones. The motor cannot have any slack or movement at all or you'll fight non stop to keep control.

Just a thought.:D

Got the solid mounts in the mid already.

The heads I have are 77 heads by part number, but I was told they were cut.
