Hey everyone, I am new to this board and I find it very interesting. I am running a 10 by 15 ss prop from yamaha, it has a great hole shot and alright speed (32 mph), the boat I am running is a semi v 600 lb aluminum boat. I know this isn't a big outboard but could anyone recommend a better prop for top end speed, thanks for the help.

change the exhaust tuner to a 50 hp yamaha will give more speed they choke the 40 down to 40 hp this way the carbs are larger to but you dont have to change them the tuner will free that bad boy up . go up 3 thousants on your main jets if you change the tuner to the 50 hp .it cost about 50 bucks new from yamaha.
