i read a data sheet that said omc made these in 1995. Why didnt omc make a race mota with power trim?

The SST 60 did have a power trim system. This is a race engine, so it uses a proper horizontal ram thru the transom.

If you mean why it didn't have a fishin' motor trim/tilt? That design isn't ideal for a race boat. Heavy and slow.
