Really the restrictions just need to be removed and add a set of aftermarket reed pedals

when you say "restrictions " what exactly do you mean ?
are you talking of just flash marks or is there any other things that need doing. i know not to polish the area too much

not just the flash, I would remove the overlap between the reed pedals on the block

when you say overlap, do you mean the edges by the reeds where it sort of curls a bit ?
if not any pic you have of this would help.
I have a spare set of reeds and the complete intake housing that I am just about to delve into myself.
I did flatten the blocks down a touch a while back due to noticing they were no where near what I call level finish.
I just put a sheet of wet n dry on a dead flat surface and used elbow grease to get them as level as they will ever be.

over the coming week I will be doing a lot of cleaning up flash marks on several parts of the motor, so while at it I will have a good butchers at the intake again.
