Hi,

Thats my boat. i have build the boat since i was 15 years old...

The topspeed is 32 Kn/ 37 Mph:mad: . The Motor is an Tohatsu 40 D. I have 10 cm setback an the motor is 9 cm higher than normal. I drive a cleaver. I have also an apollo prop. Do you have any tips to get faster? The topspeed of 37 Mph was with the apollo prop.

37mph is not bad.
What RPM is the engine running at top speed? It must stay in the power band. If it's not, the pitch on the prop will need to be changed. Power trim added to the engine will help raise the boat out of the water = more speed. Also, experiment with raising the engine higher, but make sure that the water inlets still get good waterflow for cooling. Let us know how it works.

With the apollo 5200 .. The powerband of the engine is 5000-5700 rpm.

With the cleaver only 4500, the motor musst be mounted higher for the cleaver.

But i have a new topspeed with the apollo prop:)

39 mph:rolleyes:

Today i will test more setback, 15 cm setback!

Yes, more setback will probably help. Also, try raising the engine, but only make 1 change each time.

Try a prop with more bowlift it looks like way too much wetted hull to use a cleaver

Hi with 15 cm setback my topspeed is 43 mph:) :)

Still with the apollo prop!

There are not many props for my motor.. thats the problem..

I could get a Trophy sport, Venegeance, Ballistic, apollo, Rapture... That is all..

If you continue to gain 2-3 MPH everytime you make a change, you may soon be going very fast!
