This hull has Wingboats Australia decals, it used ta run a 2cyl 55hp 20" zuki in 800cc production class, apparantly quite succesfully. The 3cyl 90hp 20" yamaha came off a dunga carribean runabout. spent last winter pulling a salty apart, dry stacked, punted tha can, powerhead freshen, water pump and eventually rigging. I got a long way to go with it yet, but that's what i like about it, i got lotsa places to find more speed and look foreward to the development days.
I dagged it for a 2 blade I6 exh over chopper that had been tubed, was stamped 30p, not a hope i thought but for 20 bucks off ebay, what was the worst that could happen:eek: well 110km/hr (68mph) at 6200 but don't forget tha box is 2:1 it's like skating on ice but tha quickest i got for now. I also got a 26p laser2 that's doin 106km/hr (66mph)at 6600 and is a real well behaved prop.

We're gettin toward the end of our summer and work has kept me pretty much away from it for a while:mad: but tha fun will continue.

i been gettin some good advice from guys off this site so thanks very much to you all.:)

Hey hyrdorider,
Started with a bare hull, bought it second hand, The boat has a 'Wingboats Australia' sticker on it. Still looking for the mould.

Hey Voodoo,
Yeah plannin on the top end sprint, 110's awright but it won't be quick against them tunnels. Still don't have a cone and LWP, probly get it before the event but won't have time to fit it and test.
Won't hit sydney till late fridy night, comin from melbourne, gota be there thurs/fri. dunno where we are staying yet but probly the usual motel. What other 1250 and 800 boats gunna be there?

Is it me or does this hull somewhat resemble the hull used by the tub racers before attaching the tub. There are some pics on BRF that show a tub in the process of being built and it is uncanny how much they look alike............

The shipping cost would be over the top, let alone the production costs. You need to look into the tub racer posts and see if you can get a hull and finish it yourself. Would probably be alot more fun too...........
