In the spring of 1971 I was talking to Paul Allison of the phone an he told me Darris was building a fishing boat using the 16’ V Bottom JJ hull as the bottom. He also said that Darris was going to build a bow rider when he finished the fishing boat.

I was running a Glastron V176 Swinger at the time and with my family and a German Shephed who always rode with us I loved the room. The thought of an Allison Bow Rider caught my attention.

So we put together a trip to Knoxville to see this creation. When we got there the Knoxville boat show was in session and Allison Craft was exhibiting. Paul was at the show with the new Allison Craft Fishing Boat. I thought the concept was great and Darris only had to make the port console and he would be ready to make the bow rider.

A few weeks later I called Darris. He said he was ready to go and I ordered a boat

That's Darris and Paul in the top left picture of the first set.
1R. Paul's pontoon boat. He took 4 15'2" hulls. Bonded two back to back for the left pontoon and bonded the other two back to back for the right pontoon. Put a platform on them and a motor board and made a pontoon boat.
Forget the horsepower. Thinking it was a Merc 500 4 cylinder 50???
2L. Holding the boat for the maiden voyage.
2R. Darris and TM of on the first run.

The third set is running on the Intercostal in Boca Raton, FL....sans windshield.
