He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; his son, Mark Collins; step-children, Larry Dodson Jr., Deena Dodson, Tammy Driscol and Cheryll Gideon and their spouses Fengliu Dodson, Fabricio Raveli, Steve Driscol and Russell Gideon; step-grandchildren, Joshua Dodson, Amber Lowe, Ashley Trujillo, Raven Gideon and spouse James Lowe; sisters, Shirley Gomes and Vivian Pratt; nieces and nephews. Mr. Rickey led a full and exciting life as a boat racer, publisher of Vapor Trails Boating News, received a Presidential Award for his work with The Special Olympics and was a friend to everyone in the boating industry. He was well respected by the racers and traveled extensively covering all phases of boat racing including offshore racing within the U.S. and overseas. He will be greatly missed by all he helped over his lifetime, his friends and those of us that loved him. Services will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park at the Hillside Chapel on June 28, 2008 at 3:00 p.m., 3888 Workman Mill Road, Gate 17, Whittier, CA In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the De Montrond Family to continue in perpetuating Mr. Rickey's Favorite Charities.
