I bought a 45 from Dave Shillig out of Oriville CA and the kill switch will not shut off the engine.
The switch and wires check out. Not sure if it is wired right or not. Can someone tell me where the wires should hook up?

Thanks
Jeff Kelly

The wiring is way different then any OMC 15 I have.
Don't want to take any chances of burning up anything.

I need the DUNK test before I can drive at Eatonville.

I may head over to Gowins???
Thanks Guys

Jeff, the kill wire circuit is still the same coming out of the powerpack, as the 15 is (same ignition systems)...........black/yellow

black wire with yellow stripe coming out of the power pack goes to one side of the switch and the other side of the switch gets grounded to the motor usually on the screw that holds the wire terminal block to the motor.

All you are doing is completing a circuit to ground to kill the motor.

Thanks Jeff, I found the wire that should be grounded. It was hooked up to the terminal block not going anywhere.
I'll fire it up and see if it works.

Daren, I'll have to get Dunked next year, but will make it to the first few races before the Unlimiteds get going.

Thanks for you help, I think I got it!

hook the one side of your kill switch to the same spot on the terminal block as the power pack kill wire.
This is a typical hook up spot for easy replacement of the power pack.

Thanks Guys, got it fixed.
Had to look at one of my OMC 15 power pack to find the black/yellow wire.
The one on the 45 was all black and was cut off or broken at the connector.

But was able to find it and get it hooked up.
