I got a 1993 Evinrude 25 hp E25TEETS.

With all the changes to the Champion spark plugs numbers, what are the best plugs to use now? I had Champion LJ774 but they are listed as no longer available.

Another plug that supposedly used to work well for high RPM engines was the Champion L2G. The Champion QL57 is listed as the equivalent to this. Does anyone know if this plug is acceptable?

The Champion L77JC4 and QL77JC4 plugs are still available and work well in your engine.

I am not a fan of Champion plugs either, but they work the best in OMC products..........the "Q" Champion uses is a suppressor plug, not the same as the "R" NGK uses as a "resistor" plug..........don't even think about using an NGK plug in any OMC motor that has the "Optical Ignition" setup.............the tried and proven L77JC4 (or suppressor plug QL77JC4) is a pretty darn good spark plug..........

plugs for Mercs, Tohatsus, Yamahas, etc...............NGK's work GREAT.........

AUTOLITE..............YUKK!
