I really never knew Lou that well, but one summer I hung out at Jim and Virginia Brigg's house and Lou seemed like he was there everyday.

He used a phrase to explain a boat sale: "I loved to see the tail lights go down the road." I use that saying at least once a week, I first heard it in 1970.

My dad gave Lou two outboard motors that were to end up in the Evinrude Museum. They never got there, because there never was an "Evinrude" museum but they are in a museum in Florida.
