Rocky Stone was from Region 10 and so was I. I had watched him race many times. Hal Tolford, john Laird, Red Taylor and others had great races with Rocky Stone. Those were the good ole’ days.
Hugh Entrop was way ahead in his time.
If you are going to run the engine much at all, I would suggest getting a new water pump impeller and get a new needle bearing cone…. They are all available new. Use lots or grease installing them…....
The good ole days.
The most expensive part of what you bought is the gear case. Assuming the gears are good complete gear cases are worth up to $1000….. Take the gear case off the tower housing, drain all the oil or...
Very cool project…..Is that the fire truck that was used in Needles back then?
This is cool stuff. It shows how popular boat racing was in the 1950’s. Where were the lunch boxes sold?
All of the above….Right On…. Especially APBA needs to start promoting Boat Racing. APBA has never promoted Boat Racing and they need to do that. How about an APBA booth at all the Boat Shows around...

I love the old cars also…cool old memories.
Ask on this site and on hydroracer.net…. Who is the guy that makes the racing tower house and gear case for racing. He lives in the eastern part of the US….I think he advertises in the APBA Propeller...

Good one Wayne… How are you doing?….. From Dean Hobart……

Hi, does anyone have any info on the 402x 35ss ?
It does not seem to have had much use in the history of outboard racing with this motor, I read the in between class never got off its feet...

Cool… didn’t notice it was a Pinto… his being a station wagon, mine was a hatch back.
I really like the double decker car top with the runabouts. We did lots of back to back rack car topping over the years. We did it several years with an ASH and DSH on my pinto… motors in the trunk,...
Or that skinny!!
R. Allen ‘Papa’ Smith was a true Southern Gentleman……. And the best propeller man of all time.
Wow… you are right about that cost. Would anyone know if there is an equivalent similar in design and weight of a US built boat?
What is the cost of the boat? Thanks.
What would the cost of the boat be?
What is the approximate cost of the boat and motor, in US dollars? Thank you.

Hello Chad Morgan,
In addition to the above reasons that you can not get 50 mph or so, your Glen L Mini Maxed is not a three point hydroplane.... a three point hydroplane creates an air tunnel...
A current 45 motor is in the 65 HP + or - minus a little... something like that. What is the HP of the 2011 Etec 2 cylinder motor?
