Smile NBRA Race Lucas Oil Speedway

The NBRA met with the GM of Lucas Oil Speedway yesterday regarding a race on the Lake that is under construction. Very encouraging meeting. We have set a tentative date of Aug 20-21. This all depends on how far they get with construction. Their first priorty is getting the lake ready for the Drag Boat Nats the end of July. The event will be televised by CBS Sports. If more work is needed after the Drags that may precude us racing this year. This race could be a game changer for our sport. You would not believe all the plans they have for the lake and the speedway. All I can say is I have been selling and promoting boat races for many years, and I am truly more excited about this than anything that has happened in the past. And yes any race there will pay tow & prize money

Lucas Oil Lake measures 3,800 feet long, 400 feet wide, and 10 feet deep and, when filled with just over 11 million gallons of water

In the second pic, it looks like some kind of symbols above that maintainer. Looking forward to more pics of the progress.
