Yes, there were several in the Toronto area. You want the 60 cubic inch short shaft [15 inch] model. I believe the first year was 1998. It came with a small foot and factory power trim. Jim Allen still has his. They are not a race motor, but they compete very well in T850 class, They also are very durable.

The cost would be $1800.00 to $2400.00. Make sure you are not buying the 52 cubic inch model. It came out about 1992.

Same as any used outboard. The year. History from owner. Number of hours use. Repairs done. What type of boat it was run on. Appearance...paint wear on gear case...
wear on flywheel and starter drive..appearance of power head does it look clean. Physical tests.. Feel the crank by moving the flywheel back and forth..is it tight?..any free play?..does it rotate smoothly?..do a compression test..check the lower unit gear lube for water.. take the prop off and make sure the prop shaft is straight. Water test it on a boat if possible. If you are not outboard knowledgeable take someone with you who is.
    Remember new is always new.
Used can be barely used to completely used up.
Parts are expensive and labor even more expensive if you need to repair it.
To-day marinas usually part out older motors needing repair. They cannot get their
costs back in selling a motor they do a major repair,

Check the market place to see what similar motors are selling for. The asking price can be much different to the sell price. Like all things it is the price that someone or some people are willing to pay. A fair price is a good price for both parties..
