Pete,
Life has stabilized a bit and allowed me to continue to play with the old BZ.
I managed a couple podium finishes this year with it somehow. I also completed the Lincoln Maine marathon finishing firmly in last place (but firmly finishing).
I didn't make it to Kingston NH this fall unfortunately but I hope to have a 3-4 weekend season next summer if all goes well.

The SSOA club has continued to be a great place to race and while working on and trying a few other boats I've leaned my old Bezoat could certainly turn a little better I am still enamored with it.
If you check out the last propeller the bezoat is in the picture for Fairfield Maine race where I almost hit a start haha.

Hope you are well, you and Doug's help when I rebuilt my basket case y80 has resulted in multiple years of budget fun. I am proud to say I finished every heat this summer (not bad for scrap parts) and I didn't go surprise swimming even once!

That is great that you are doing well with the hydros and learning more from running other boats. Hydro turning is always desired to be better. When I built my Avatar hydro direct from Hal Kelly Wetback plans it ran ok but competition led me to improvements in speed and TURNING. It took a lot of testing and mods to get it to fly like in the Avatar pic

I am well and enjoy each day at 83.
