Benny Bob Baron who started this thread lived in Lubbock for awhile I believe. Sadly, he passed away several years ago, or maybe we could have gotten some more information.

Note: Race boats in Texas were not required to have a Texas registration number until about 1973 or 74. So that canvas deck hydro apparently was still racing after the law was passed. Guess it came down from Minnesota.

Follow-up: The G-11 hydro in the Texas antique store in previous post has been I.D.'d by a previous owner and they are looking in to re-acquiring their boat. Will look forward to seeing a restoration!?

Checking with the Texas vehicle registration department may yield some information on the manufacture of TX 5075 XJ.
    Worth a try!

The original owner(s) formerly living in Austin, Minnesota contacted me thru the post above with the pictures and they know the boat all too well. Hoping they are able to re-unite with it and get it restored.
