Default The future of boat racing

The have been numerous blubs about this topic on a multitude of threads, and it does my heart good when I see one of the greats, the forums own Ron Hill, and numerous others offfering words of encouragment for my KTDoodle...

Here is what I gleaned from Jack Leek's interview, which BTW, is a must read...

WITH ALL THE THINGS THEY CHANGE
    NOW, IT’S SO EXPENSIVE.
Yeah, sure. You know, as far as I’m concerned,
boat racing, hydro racing and so on, should be kept
as stock as you can make it so that you’ve got as
much competition as you can get. Sure, make it
interesting for the guy that wants to whittle on his
motor, but still have some rules. Keep it within
    certain limitations.

So much truth to that, from one of the greats...

Keep this topic going, even if it's a one sentence thought, as that is how great ideas evolve

After spending several thousand dollars in the last 2 weeks and still not even having a motor put together, I would have to agree. And I spend WAY LESS money than most people that drag race.

A little ingenuity should be able to go farther than a lot of money.
