    Default HEY OMC GURU's ...What powerheads will fit on a stinger75 mid&leg??

    Hi guy's

    I have some OMC Stinger 75's, I have heard a V4 140hp powerhead will fit on the mid section and Leg, just swap the powerheads over, can any of the OMC gur's confirm this please, or what can fit on it, Just like to know some options

    Nope, it will not, what bolts right on, only, is the 49cu in 3 cyl, you can bolt on the 56 cu in with an adaptor change, V4's never bolted to a 3 cyl, you have to cut down a 20"

    Well that answer my question easily


    Now will the gearbox bolt to the cut down V-4 leg??

    Also is there anywhere I can find info on cutting down mid sections??

    wouldn't mind making up a v-4 setup with a 12 inch mid

    Sorry about all the questions, just changed from inboards to Outboards, be gentle..........

    at fullthrottlepowerboats.com he cuts them down, that the easiest way, or mad efi made 15" exhaust housings for OMC's, either way you can use the stock lower with the correct length shaft. There is a guy here in the states who makes adaptors for V4's to a 12" merc if you really want to.
