    Default Vintage Q

Ive been asked a few Qs about set up from a guy new to the go-fast stuff. Otherwise hes a very experienced boat handler. He bought an older Bezoats A hydro in good condition, Its got a tunnel & he has a KG4H for it. I want to steer him right so hes safe & enjoys getting used to the rig. Hes about the right weight for this so that wont be a problem.
My question is height & tilt, From a pic he sent it seems to be about 1 1/4" deep from the true bottom to the C/L of the propshaft & parallel. Im thinkin the heights ok for now but think it should be tilted in a little. Dont want it to porpoise or work the motor too hard to get going. Of course Ill advise a helmet, life jacket, kill sw, full butterfly & all so any 411 offered would be good. Thanks

Will depend on his prop/prop library ... can't really predict for all props
Since 1925, about 150 different racing outboards have been made.

Dont know what hes got But Ill bring a 20ss Ron Hill 3 blade, Its a short course & will get him on plane well. Not concerned with speed other than enough to be authentic.

    Default Kg4

Is it an H length tower or a Q length that is longer?

He says its a KG4H ... a little confusing in the title, the title is the only thing with a Q, for Question, not Quicksilver
