Past racers history?

I just recieved a private message from a someone and thought some of you racers from region 7 might be able to help with this.The following is the message I recieved.

I am looking for anything about hydroplane racing in Illinois in the 1950's. My uncle Bill Peters raced during that time. I know he raced in Depue, IL but I can't remember where else. He won many races because I used to dust them when I was young. He was from Canton, IL.

To Connie via Tom L. I knew of Bill Peters, my father George Yeakley raced against Bill in the midwest in Decatur, Springfield central Illinois area. They were part of the Mid States Outboard racing assn. Bill Seebold also raced with them. If my memorey is still good, Bill's number was A-52 and Dad's was A-82, V-86 in the C Class.
