The throttle and the gear case were part of a large purchase we made this weekend. I know what the Mercury parts are but these I do not know, but I think Konig? The lower unit is inscribed Don Christy.

Yes the throttle is Konig and I believe the lower unit is Konig also. Don Christy was a very successful racer in Region 4 in the 60's.
Dave
Yes, both are Konig.
Len Lupton had most of Don's stuff a few years back.
Since 1925, about 150 different racing outboards have been made.
Is there a market for either, we also have two sets of the transom mounts?

There does seem to be a market for the Konig throttles. I'm not sure what you could get for an empty 1950's Konig case (internal parts are hard to find). Around 1960 Dieter changed to a tailcone secured by 2 long bolts coming down from the top rather than screw in tailcone like Merc.
I'd really like to buy a pair of the transom mounts ... I wouldn't mind having the throttle either, but the empty case is of no interest to me.

When we go through the huge amount of stuff we bought Alan and I will be probably offer the parts forsale on the racing sites rather than putting them on Ebay.

I have one of these Konig units with everything intact. Only 4 holes for wrench clearance are deviations from how it came. Unfortunately, the tower was welded to accomodate Mercury clamp brackets. I have a throttle as well. The motors came with this throttle in the 1960's.
